• 2006: KENNY CHESNEY was named Entertainer of the Year at the Academy of Country Music Awards for a second year in a row. Other winners included BRAD PAISLEY, BROOKS & DUNN and CARRIE UNDERWOOD.

• 2007: Nashville’s WSMV-TV revealed a list of the 10 Middle Tennessee parents who owed the most in back child support. Ranked at #3 was DAVID ALLAN COE, who owed his ex-wife $292,688.

• 2010: FERLIN HUSKY and songwriter-producer Billy Sherrill were inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

SHELLY WEST is 56. Shelly is the daughter of DOTTIE WEST and is best known for having hit duets with DAVID FRIZZELL. She also was a successful solo artist, having her own #1 hit, Jose Cuervo in 1983.

SARA EVANS begins her Slow Me Down Tour tomorrow night (Saturday) in her home state of Missouri.

The ZAC BROWN BAND will embark on The Great American Road Trip Tour tomorrow (May 24) in Lincoln, Nebraska. The group will play about 30 dates through August 15 with KACEY MUSGRAVES appearing as a special guest at four of the shows.

TAYLOR SWIFT is being sued by the owner of Lucky 13 Merchandise claiming she ripped off his brand name. He wants profits Taylor has made from sales of anything with the Lucky 13 on it, or damages he can recoup for his own company, whichever number is largest.

TIM MCGRAW helps ABC’s Good Morning America kick off its summer concert series this morning (Friday).

RASCAL FLATTS visit The Tonight Show (NBC) tonight (Friday).

JASON ALDEAN will play a concert at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway tomorrow (Saturday). The Indy 500 is Sunday.

LEANN RIMES will sing the national anthem Sunday (May 25) prior to the running of the Indianapolis 500.

BRANTLEY GILBERT will perform a pre-race concert Sunday (May 25) prior to the Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte, North Carolina.

JENNIFER NETTLES and DANIELLE BRADBERY will perform as part of the National Memorial Day Concert on Sunday (May 25) in Washington D.C.

The CMT Music Awards added DAN + SHAY, COLE SWINDELL, THOMAS RHETT, DAVID NAIL, CASSADEE POPE and BRETT ELDREDGE to the performers list for the June 4 show.
