The CMT Music Awards have added ten more performers for the June 4 awards taking place in Nashville. They are: DIERKS BENTLEY, BRANTLEY GILBERT, HUNTER HAYES, LADY ANTEBELLUM, LITTLE BIG TOWN, KACEY MUSGRAVES, JENNIFER NETTLES, JAKE OWEN, KEITH URBAN and LEE ANN WOMACK. They join a list of previously announced performers that includes LUKE BRYAN, FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE, CARRIE UNDERWOOD, BLAKE SHELTON, MIRANDA LAMBERT, COLE SWINDELL, BRETT ELDREDGE and KIP MOORE.

TAYLOR SWIFT’s June 9 concert in Thailand has been canceled after a military takeover occurred in the country last week. The remaining dates on Taylor’s Red tour in Asia have so far been unaffected.

LUKE BRYAN’s done something different — and big. Luke has become the first artist in the Billboard Country Airplay Chart’s 24-year history to lock in the top two spots. Play It Again nabbed his ninth No. 1, and his appearance on Florida Georgia Line‘s This Is How We Roll helped him grab the No. 2 spot.

… There are only two artists that have come close to something similar since 1958, when multiple country rankings were rolled into a singular chart. TAYLOR SWIFT’s We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together hit No. 1 the same week Red was released as a preview cut, rocketing to No. 2, in October 2012. BUCK OWENS’ Together Again and My Heart Skips a Beat earned him a double-whammy in June/July 1964, when the songs traded places at the top — and stayed there for three weeks.

KEITH URBAN has confirmed he will return to FOX’s American Idol as a judge for the 14th season. Harry Connick Jr. has also confirmed his return to the show while Jennifer Lopez says she hopes to return.

MARTY STUART will release a double album on September 30 titled Saturday Night & Sunday Morning. The first disk – Saturday Night: Rough Around The Edges will be the music Marty is best known for making, while Sunday Morning: Cathedral will be a tip of the cap to gospel music.

KENNY ROGERS will play a June 1 benefit concert in Sikeston, Missouri to raise funds for the Kenny Rogers Children’s Center.

BILLY JOE SHAVER has announced the release of his first new album in over six years. Long in the Tooth will come out on August 5.

DOLLY PARTON says her two favorite current female country artists are MIRANDA LAMBERT and, for her business sense, TAYLOR SWIFT.
