MIRANDA LAMBERT and BLAKE SHELTON will open a B&B in Tishamingo, Oklahoma later this year. The Ladysmith is located across the street from Miranda’s original The Pink Pistol store. There’s a second Pink Pistol in Lindale, Texas, the town in which Miranda was raised.

… Although Miranda’s funding the new project, she will likely have other people running it. She admits that it’s definitely a new experience for herself, saying, “I have no idea what I’m doing. I don’t know how to run a bed and breakfast or anything about it. But it’s too beautiful of a building not to restore.” As for when it will open, Miranda says, “I’m not setting a date because I don’t want to set myself up for failure, but it’s really beautiful and I think it’s going to be so much fun for people.”

BLAKE SHELTON has confirmed that MIRANDA LAMBERT nearly got into a bar fight with Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger back in 2010 at her 27th birthday party in Nashville. The incident stemmed from Chad trying to coax Miranda into doing shots with him and her continuous refusal to do so. Finally, she threw a shot on Kroeger to try and cool him off. Blake says no punches were thrown.

Great American Country will air TIM MCGRAW’s Superstar Summer Nights concert June 21. The show, filmed last summer, will include performances by JASON ALDEAN, LUKE BRYAN, LADY ANTEBELLUM, DIERKS BENTLEY, FAITH HILL and others.

While in St. Louis for a tour stop last week that included a two-night sold-out stint, LUKE BRYAN took some swings with the St. Louis Cardinals during a workout session. Luke is good friends with Cards pitcher Adam Wainwright.

BRETT ELDREDGE’s Beat of the Music holds the No. 1 position this week on the country charts (Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck). This is Brett’s second consecutive single from his debut album, Bring You Back, to hit the top of the charts.

THE SWON BROTHERS’ debut album, expected later this year, will include a writing collaboration with LADY ANTEBELLUM’s Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood. The guys are working with CARRIE UNDERWOOD’s producer (Mark Bright) for the project and have become great friends with Carrie, but won’t say if she might appear on the project in any way.

DANIELLE PECK is a married woman after tying the knot with Josh Smith in Ireland on June 12. The two eloped in an intimate ceremony last Thursday. They became engaged back in December.

NEW AND OUT TODAY

WILLIE NELSON’s Band Of Brothers. The album contains nine original tracks and five covers, including VINCE GILL’s Whenever You Come Around and a duet with JAMEY JOHNSON on the BILLY JOE SHAVER penned The Git Go.
