YOU CAN SERVE YOUR FUTURE EX WITH DIVORCE PAPERS ON FACEBOOK _ In New York City, a Supreme Court Justice recently ruled that a Brooklyn nurse is “granted permission to serve defendant with the divorce summons using a private message through Facebook.” This means Ellanora Baidoo is now allowed to serve her hard-to-track-down husband with divorce papers via Facebook message. The judge said: “This transmittal shall be repeated by plaintiff’s attorney to defendant once a week for three consecutive weeks or until acknowledged” by her soon-to-be-ex.
… The ruling says the “post office has no forwarding address for him, there is no billing address linked to his prepaid cell phone, and the Department of Motor Vehicles has no record of him.” Baidoo’s lawyer tried hiring a private detective but couldn’t find her husband to serve him divorce papers.

SHOES GROW FIVE SIZES TO KEEP UP WITH KIDS WHO WEAR THEM _ One entrepreneur has dreamt up a simple fix to an age-old problem: the constant need to buy new shoes for kids who outgrow them just months later. Build to last at least five years, they are made out of durable leather, metal snaps and compressed rubber.
… According to Lee’s website The Shoe That Grows, the shoe is designed for those in impoverished areas who can’t afford to buy shoes.

AFTER GOING OUT TO CONQUER FEARS, WOMAN FALLS IN MANHOLE _ An agoraphobic grandmother in England says that she may never go outside again after her last attempt left her with a broken leg and a legitimate reason to stay indoors. Janet Faal reportedly left her home for the third time in a decade as part of the 57-year-old woman’s therapy to treat her phobia and face her fears. But Janet suffered two black eyes and a broken leg after she fell into a manhole that she unwittingly opened.
… Janet was with her friend while out on a drive. During their drive, they stumbled upon a wooden pallet that was in the car’s way. It was then that Janet took it upon herself to remove the pallet that things took a ironically tragic turn. She kicked the pallet over with her foot, but was not looking at it while asking her friend if it was out of the way well enough for her to back her car out of the parking area. When she had intended to spin around, she did not notice that the pallet was actually covering up a manhole. To her shock, she fell right in with one leg and she smashed her face down on the pallet.
… Now she is afraid that her agoraphobia may get worse, since she was so badly injured on her third outing in a decade. She was left in the manhole for at least an hour while waiting for paramedics to rescue her, which probably only made things worse.

Experts suggest the worms may have been lifted into the air by a weather system and blown miles from their original location.

STAR WARS FAN ASKED GEORGE LUCAS IF JEDI CAN MARRY _ Seven-year-old Star Wars fan Colin Gilpatric and his mother Peggy sent a letter to George Lucas asking that he allow Jedi to get married. Little Colin was very excited when he received a fantastic response, as well as a lot of cool Star Wars gifts. Colin wrote: Dear George Lucas: I don’t like that a Jedi cannot get married. I want to get married without becoming a Sith. Please change the rule. Love Colin.
… Someone at Lucasfilm wrote back: Hello, Colin. Thank you so much for writing to us with your question. It sounds like the Force is strong with you, and you are showing great wisdom by asking your question. To be a Jedi is to truly know the value of friendship, of compassion, and of loyalty, and these are values important in a marriage. The Sith think inward, only of themselves. When you find someone that you can connect to in a selfless way, then you are on the path of the light, and the dark side will not take hold of you. With this goodness in your heart, you can be married. We enclosed a few gifts that we hope you enjoy. Thank you again for writing to us. May the Force Be With You!
EMPIRE TV SHOW CANCELLED? _ If fans of the Fox TV show Empire Google the words “Empire cancelled,” they’ll be met with a bunch of results from Tumblr pages and other websites claiming the show had been cancelled even after being renewed for a second season. Ratings for Empire went through the roof during its first season and finale, so for Fox to cancel the show would be ridiculous. The rumors of Empire’s cancellations are attributable to a fake website, the same one that has claimed lately that Krispy Kreme was giving away free donuts, that a woman’s lips exploded after doing the Kylie Jenner challenge, and falsely stated that Martin Lawrence had been found dead in a hotel.
BOBBI KRISTINA BROWN STILL IN COMA _ We’ve heard that the Brown and Houston families aren’t agreeing on much since Bobbi Kristina Brown has been in a coma following a tragic incident at her Atlanta home — but now it seems the two sides can’t even decide if she’s still in a coma or not. Bobby Brown told a concert audience the other night that “Bobbi is awake. She’s watching me.” And Brown’s sister, Tina, told her Facebook page that Bobbi was out of her coma and was going to be okay.
… But a source tells TMZ neither is true: “She’s in the exact same condition she was in when she went into the facility.”
ROSANNE BARR GOING BLIND _ Comedian and actress Roseanne Barr is going blind, and she’s opening up about what it is she’s currently going through. Some fans could tell that something was up given her unique appearance at the Tribeca Film Festival over the weekend. She reveals that her vision is closing in significantly already, but her doctors haven’t given her a specific timeframe regarding when she might completely lose her sight.

JOHNNY DEPP IS MISSING? _ Johnny Depp is reportedly missing — or at least that is what multiple media sources are reporting. As shocking and unbelievable as that sounds, there are no reports to indicate that it’s not true. Vanity Fair is one of the credible sources reporting that the actor may have disappeared. So where is Johnny Depp, and why would he go missing? The actor was supposed to be in Australia to film the latest Pirates of the Caribbean movie. However, he reportedly missed his flight — which really isn’t a reason for alarm. What has caused alarm, however, is the fact that Depp has not reached out to anybody in Oz, so they’re all left scratching their heads and wondering where he is.
… There are also reports that people are a little angry with him, and at least one person has referred to the aging actor as unprofessional for pulling a no-show and falling out of contact.

SAM HUNT’s Take Your Time has become only the 16th song to spend at least ten weeks in the top spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Take Your Time logs the longest stay at No. 1 since JASON ALDEAN’s Burnin’ It Down did it for 14 weeks in 2014. The record: FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE’s Cruise, which dominated for 24 weeks beginning in December 2012.

TIM MCGRAW AND FAITH HILL were noticeably absent from Sunday night’s ACM Awards, but they had a pretty good reason for skipping out. They went to New York for another red carpet event — the premiere of Tim’s new movie, Dixieland, which made its debut on Sunday at the Tribeca Film Festival.

RANDY TRAVIS is married. The country legend married Mary Davis in Texas on March 21.
On his website RANDY TRAVIS penned a personal letter to his fans after appearing at the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards. It reads: “Hello, my friends. It was an amazing gift to feel all the love from you in Dallas at the Academy of Country Music Awards. It has been a hard-fought and miraculous journey since my stroke two years ago, and I have gained a greater understanding of God’s grace, and how quickly events can change us. Words can never express my gratitude to those who continue to believe in me, pray for me and keep me lifted up in thought and deed. The kind cards and heartfelt letters of testimony and encouragement brought me through the darkest of days. Mary read each and every one of them to me, and I felt the love and concern being sent my way; and, I gathered strength from this. None of us are worthy of the immense outpouring of support shown to me, and I consider each of my fans, a friend. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
… The letter finishes with, “As I work through music/speech/occupational/physical therapy, it is my hope that my songs of yesterday continue to touch your life in some way.”
