• 1992: EMMYLOU HARRIS became a member of the Grand Ole Opry.

• 1992: SAWYER BROWN topped the charts with The Dirt Road.

• 2005: KENNY CHESNEY released the album Be As You Are: Songs From An Old Blue Chair.

• 2012: LUKE BRYAN scored his fourth number one with I Don’t Want This Night To End.

• 2014: KRIS KRISTOFFERSON received the Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Award, along with The Beatles and The Isley Brothers.

• 2018: THE BELLAMY BROTHERS were inducted into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame in Tallahassee.

• 2019: DOUG SUPERNAW checked into a Houston hospital with a nagging cough. He was initially diagnosed with pneumonia, though further tests revealed he had stage IV lung and bladder cancer. He passed away November 13, 2020.

CLAUDE GRAY is 88. Clause is best know for his 1960 hit Family Bible.

CARLY PEARCE was at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin on Sunday to sing the national anthem before the NFC Championship Game between the Packers and the Buccaneers.

MORGAN WALLEN’s new album Dangerous: The Double Album debuted at the top of the all-genre Billboard 200 in its first week. Dangerous also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

TIM MCGRAW has released an acoustic version of his 1999 smash Something Like That which, by the way, was the most-played radio song in any genre from 2000-2009. • VIDEO

GARTH BROOKS gave a shout-out on social media to Lady Gaga’s glam squad, giving a thanks to the pop star’s makeup artist (Sarah Tanno) and hairstylist (Frederic Aspiras) who helped get him ready behind the scenes for his inauguration performance. According to Garth, “They saved a cowboy today.”

GARTH BROOKS — like everyone else at the inauguration — got a COVID test just before the big event last week. Which is a good thing since the legend went on a hugging spree after her performed Amazing Grace.

Shots have been fired to engage a mullet war between MORGAN WALLEN and BLAKE SHELTON. When asked what he really thinks of the newcomer’s hairdo, Blake said, “It’s pretty weak.” Blake says, “His mullet is kind of like a bob haircut. JASON ALDEAN and his wife Brittany were tired but still cracking jokes late Thursday night after a five-hour emergency room trip turned out to have a happy ending.

… The couple went into the ER after Brittany began experiencing chest pains earlier that day. Brittany shared she has pleurisy, a type of chest pain that affects the lining around the lungs.

Is REBA MCENTIRE getting married to actor-boyfriend Rex Linn? The website Gossip Cop looked into a tabloid report that the two are getting hitched and found it to be false, even thought the pair have been dating since early 2020.
